Today the 28 slc members returned to school for a debrief/meeting with the teachers about the Nepal trip.
We were gathered in the music room for a debrief by the teachers and they pointed out some of the points and observations during the trip that all of us can improve on. SO LET’S WORK HARD ON THIS
Furthermore, Elaine, Chenqi, Kelvin and James also made a short appreciation speech to the teachers to thank them for their care, guidance and support during our trip. THANK YOU MR TOK, MDM YEO, MR TAN, MS LIN and MR NEO!
After the debrief, we all watched a video that’s made by Syafiq, together with his team Redho ;D We ought to thank them for their efforts because the video was great and everyone really enjoyed it. It reminds us of our trip and also the memorable times we spent together. Although our tip to Nepal has come to an end, all of us will remain bonded till the end and tackle the challenges ahead of us in time to come! ((:
14 days in Nepal and all the slc members were back yesterday night in SINGAPORE! Many of us missed our families, the food and many more things in Singapore and were all glad to be back, but, everyone sure had fun in this Nepal trip! RIGHT?
Here’s just a brief idea of what we did there:
22/11/09 – We took a morning flight and reached Nepal and did some night shopping at Thamel Street.
23/11/09 – We took a bus ride from Kathmandu to Phedi and trekked up to Dhampus.
24/11/09 – We trekked from Dhampus to Landrung.
25/11/09 – We continued from Landrung to Chhomrung.
26/11/09 – Up we went, from Chhomrung to Dovan.
27/11/09 – We trekked up to Machhapuchhre Base Camp from Dovan.
28/11/09 – Woke up early and went up to Annapurna Base Camp at 4130m (YAY!) and after that back to Himalaya.
29/11/09 – From Himalaya, we went back down to Chhomrung again.
30/11/09 – We trekked further down to Syauli Bazar.
1/12/09 – Last day of trekking, went down to Birenthanti and took a bus to Pokhara.
After all the trekking, everyone was tired and altitude sickness also hit some of us during the trek, but we all pushed on and completed our trek. WELL DONE EVERYONE!
After trekking, we went to Nargakot where we had our CIP programme which include teaching the students and to help them paint their schools. When were at the local primary school, everyone was shocked to see the condition of the school itself. But we were amazed by how the students were enjoying themselves and never once stopped smiling. This left a deep memory inside the slc members who were there. About half of us fell sick the day before and during CIP programme and the remaining members had to cover the jobs of the sick members and they really did well in doing that and finally completed the CIP programme smoothly and successfully. It was a pity that not everyone could join the CIP and complete it together but still, all of us had an enriching experience on this trip to Nepal which i believed everyone had learned many many valuable things ;D
And, i am starting to miss the other slc members. haha. Meet up soon!
p.s. do not waste water and electricity in Singapore anymore
Today will be the final day everyone can play their computers, sleep on their own beds, bathe in hot water etc before leaving for Nepal. HAHAHA! BUT! Before flying off, we are doing some interviews of our very own SLC members on their feelings before the trip

NAMASTE! 2 more days!! 2 more days and we’re all off to Nepal, Annapurna Base Camp!! (:Today was a busy day, with everyone preparing themselves for the teaching of cip over there to the nepali students. The members came up with lots of creative and interactive session of teaching for the students there
We had lunch after that before going back to school for our cultural exchange practices. The dance are all more or less completed and ready for the performance there. After the dance, everyone sat together and watched the photos that were being taken on Grad Night 2009. We had fun laughing at the photos because of some funny stuffs, like zooming in and revealing “secrets” of our members!! Everyone was laughing so hard that their stomach probably hurts
The session was enjoyable and it ended with the briefing from our teachers, Mr Tok and Mdm Yeo and also well wishes from our principal, Mr Ong (: All of us went home after that to get some rest and prepare ourselves for the trip ahead!

this is the photo taken during the sec 4 grad nite.
Yesterday night was a busy and fruitful experience for all the slc members because all of us are involved in the sec 4 Grad Night preparation and activity.
The slc members were dressed nicely. The girls were so pretty and elegant. And the guys were so smart and handsome. hahahaha! Everyone looked good in BLACK! ^^ All thanks to zuhairah for keeping reminding us to wear nice nice! hahahah!
The grand event starts off at around 5pm when some of the sec 4s started to enter the hall. By 6.30pm everone was seated and our emcees, Syafiq and Chenqi were welcomed into the hall. They received huge applause and cheers from the sec 4s
After all the prize presentation and tributes to the teachers, the programme everyone was waiting for started.
Everyone danced and party through the hours of music and all of us were really enjoying ourselves!
Many of us took photos to capture this memorable moments
There were smiling all the way. And laughing. And danicng. And cheering. And Jumping. And having fun. YAHOOOOOO! I must say, the slc members were really really enjoying the dance moment to the fullest.
All the fun ended very fast, and Grad Night soon came to an end.
All the sec4s hugged each other before waving goodbye. We were all tired after the event but we enjoyed the event and also the process of preparing this event. It truly gave us a wonderful experience
we will update with the photos, asap! so wait hor.
Today our slc members had a dance session and practice at the ava room. Many people turned up for the practice and were all having fun
This shows that everyone also getting closer and more bonded now
Throughout the practice, there were jokes and funny things which made all of us laugh hard! The boys learned a new malay dance during this session while the girls learned their chinese dance. The guys looked funny at first as the steps were complicated and fast! hahahahah! But with the spirit of not giving up, they finally mastered the dance! Hehehe. The girls too were having a hard time trying to be flexible. Haha. But just like the boys, they worked hard and were finally able to grasp the dance well. YAHOOOO!~~
The dance procedure will be as follow: Chinese dance by girls, Indian dance by all, Hoedown Throwdown dance by all and finally, Malay dance by the guys!!!
The session ended rather late, but everybody had fun throughout the session and this help to us forge stronger friendship and relationship each time!
We’ll be hoping to see many many “help one another” spirit when we travel to nepal!
